Qarrar Firhand Secures 2026 WSK Euro Series Title

Cremona, Italy – July 11, 2026 – Young Indonesian driver Qarrar Firhand has once again made national motorsport history by securing the 2026 WSK Euro Series title in the OK category, making him the first Indonesian driver to win one of the most prestigious and competitive karting championships in the world.

Qarrar sealed the championship title after a dominant performance throughout the season, locking down the top spot in the standings beyond the reach of his competitors. The achievement was capped off at the final round at Cremona Circuit, Italy, where he claimed a second-place podium finish and set the Fastest Lap of the Race.

Dominance From the Start of the Weekend

Qarrar’s journey to the title began with an impressive performance throughout the weekend in Cremona.

The Ward Racing driver proved to be the fastest in Qualifying Practice, taking Pole Position with a lap time of 47.900 seconds. This dominance continued with victories in all heat races and a win in the Prefinal, effectively securing the 2026 WSK Euro Series title before the Final Race even began.

Fierce Duel to the Finish Line

The 2026 WSK Euro Series Final Race provided a fitting conclusion to Qarrar’s international karting career.

Starting from pole position, Qarrar took the lead from the opening lap. However, the race victory did not come easily. On the second lap, British driver Henri Domain capitalized on momentum in the chicane to execute an overtake and seize first place. From that moment, both drivers engaged in a high-intensity battle separated by the narrowest of margins.

Rather than taking unnecessary risks, Qarrar demonstrated remarkable racing maturity. With the championship title mathematically secured, the Indonesian driver managed the race smartly while maintaining relentless pressure on the race leader until the final lap.

When the checkered flag fell, Qarrar finished in second place, just 0.366 seconds behind the winner. Despite missing out on the race win, he demonstrated his raw speed by recording the Fastest Lap of the Race at 47.600 seconds—the fastest overall lap time of the Final Race.

The second-place finish completed a near-perfect weekend following his Pole Position, sweep of the heat races, Prefinal victory, and confirmation as 2026 WSK Euro Series Champion.

Supported by strong national backing—most notably from Pertamina as the primary sponsor of his international journey—this achievement marks a major milestone for Indonesian motorsport, placing Indonesia alongside traditional karting powerhouses such as Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain.
